Washington Folk Festival 2026!The Washington Folk Festival returns to the enchanting Glen Echo Park on Sunday, August 23, 12pm (noon) to 7:00pm. Now a one-day event, expect a jam-packed roster full of dancing, storytelling, and music ranging from American to International styles. You’ll hear bluegrass, Celtic, Americana, blues, and Zydeco, as well as folk music from around the world including a special Middle Eastern track this year. Six stages, including a revival of the family-focused kid-friendly dedicated area, hundreds of performers, food trucks (twice as many as last year!), picnic tables, and it’s all free! Donations gratefully accepted. Please note that parking is on-site and limited so car-pooling is highly recommended. Glen Echo Park, 7300 MacArthur Blvd, Glen Echo, MD 20812. This is an all-volunteer event: everyone, including the performers, planners, technicians, and sound engineers, EVERYONE donates their services. We are looking for volunteers for many different roles: • Help with prep the day before the festival • Day of logistics, performer hospitality, and more • Publicity support and outreach In addition to being part of a team of awesome helpers, volunteers get food from lovely food trucks, a special pin, and lots of smiles and appreciation!
