The Glen Echo Open Band is an exciting, friendly group that gets to play for the dance, be part of something big, and have lots of fun! It is a great opportunity to learn musical skills, meet new friends, and get into the dance free.

Our Open Band member, penny-whistler Jim Stahler, has compiled a tune list played by the Glen Echo Open Band. Newer members are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the latest tunes list.

When: Currently once every two months, 8 - 10 PM. Musicians are encouraged to arrive for soundcheck around 7 PM

Where: The Spanish Ballroom, Glen Echo Park, MD

Admission:

FREE for Open Band musicians.

$15 dance admission.

Registration is required of all participants, including Open Band musicians. Pre-registration is preferred but you can register in person at the door. Credit Cards and cash and checks are accepted at the door.

$15.00 Dance Admission
$12.00 for members of FSGW and affiliated groups (BFMS, CDSS, ATDS)
$5.00 Under 21 and those with low income.

Payment for Musicians: If you would like to be paid after playing the dance, please complete a W-9 form and either submit it electronically at this link to FSGW or present a physical copy to the check-in table at the dance. Musicians are payed in person at the end of the dance.
