The 10th anniversary of the Thursday Silver Spring Contra Dance!

In the Great Hall (wood floor) at the Silver Spring Civic Building. 

Our big dream is to open up the dividing doors and fill the entire Great Hall on April 13. Please help us spread the word, and invite friends and family to join you!

Two members of the featured CHARM CITY JUNCTION BAND, Brad Kolodner and Alex Lacquement, were there for the first SS Dance in April 2013.

Calling Terms: Larks and Robins

Lesson at 7:00pm, Dance is from 7:30pm to 9:30pm

Linda Zebooker will again be teaching a half hour class from 6:30-7 (before the beginners lesson) on dance basics. Offering concepts the caller doesn't have time to cover in the intro class such as good dance posture and arm position, the importance of the circle, safety issues and fixes, and more!


COVID Policy: This is an FSGW Tier 1 event, which means -

  • Registration is required of all participants. Pre-registration is preferred - you may pay online or wait to pay at the door. You may register at the door. Cash and credit card are accepted at the door.
  • Registrations may be cancelled prior to the event, and any payment will be refunded as a credit for future use. No refunds will be available after the event has started.
  • Masks (N95 / KN95 / KF94) are required at all times.
  • All participants must be able to show proof of vaccination with at least one booster
