Schweinhaut Song Circle Online (Song Circles)

  • 17 Jun 2020
  • 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
  • Online via Zoom

We're not letting the pandemic stop us from getting together online to enjoy each other's company and to sing delightful songs! You can join us using any Internet-connected device--computer, tablet, or smartphone--or you can join by dialing a phone number.

This monthly family-friendly song circle is about the joy of singing, not about talent. Everyone is welcome, regardless of age or experience. Come for informal group singing or just to listen, but do come to enjoy great songs, old or new, humorous or serious, timeless or topical.

While Montgomery County senior centers are closed, we are doing that using Zoom as the software platform.

Wendy Lanxner will lead some songs with guitar accompaniment. If you would like to request or lead one or more songs and/or be an instrumental accompanist, please tell us when you register.

For security of the Zoom session, please register at https://forms.gle/jr4sR9tmu6VRMBdN8. The Zoom link will be sent on June 16 or 17 to those who register by 11 a.m. EDT Wednesday.

If this will be your first use of Zoom, go to https://zoom.us, click on " Sign Up, It's Free " and follow the prompts (entering your email address when asked for "your work email"). Do this ahead of time so that you'll be all set to "join the meeting" when it's time to do so. Information about getting started with Zoom is at https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/categories/200101697.

If you installed Zoom before April 28, go to https://zoom.us/download to install Version 5.0+ before you want to join any Zoom session. (Version 5.0.4 is the latest one.)

Join us on June 17 via Zoom. Especially if you're just getting started with Zoom, please try to join the Zoom session 10 or 15 minutes before 1 p.m. so that we can help with any technical issues before the session begins.
