Dick Hensold promises “a concert of traditional Celtic music, but with unique and innovative arrangements” on Northumbrian smallpipes, whistles, guitar, and the “warm and multi-hued baritone voice” of Patsy O’Brien. (He also promises that the Northumbrian pipes are not nearly as loud as their Scottish Highlands cousin.) Dick and Patsy bring “traditional and historical tunes from Cape Breton Island, Scotland, Ireland and Northumberland, with a good measure of original music in the traditional style.” At the home of Gordon Johnston & Karen Helbrecht in Del Rey. $15 donation suggested.
