Brian Peters and Jeff Davis (Special Event)

Two of their countries' best performers of traditional repertoire, Brian Peters (UK) and Jeff Davis (USA) follow up last July's a standout sold-out "Sharp's Appalachian Harvest" show at the Library of Congress (co-sponsored by FSGW). Their repertoires include lots of material that didn't fit into that show. They'll present a concert of more old songs and music from both sides of the pond. Adding to their two fine voices is a pile of instruments including concertina, banjo, mandocello and guitar. Their sets range from British ballads to cowboy songs, sea shanties to mountain breakdowns, and virtuoso instrumentals from English squeezebox to New England fiddle. They'll have some great choruses for you, too.

Given the turn-out last July, we realize the audience for this pair won't fit into anybody's house, so we invite you to the comfortable space of Seeker's Church, just steps away from the Takoma station on Metro's Red Line (and the adjacent Metro parking lot, in case you're coming by car!).
