Registration for the Youth Traditional Song Weekend 2017 is open from September 12 to October 2! January 6-8, 2017 is the fifth annual YTS Weekend in Western Massachusetts, sponsored by FSGW and our counterpart organizations in New England and New York. Don't think you're "youth"? Think again: YTS allocates 80% of the total spaces for people under age 50 and makes the rest available to "young at heart" participants. Singers of all ages, styles and levels of experience are welcome and valued at this gathering of aspiring and experienced songleaders who want to promote social singing in their communities. FSGW usually provides some financial support for a vanpool from D.C. to the comfy YMCA camp in Becket, MA. Visit www.youthtradsong.org for details about the registration process and click here for details about this year's faculty -- Thomas McCarthy, Sara Gray and the Rev. Robert B. Jones, Sr. If you miss the October 2 deadline, you can still get on the waiting list until December 15. If you're not sure whether you should go, the answer is yes, you should.
