Square Dance Smorgasbord (Co-Sponsored Dance)

C'mon out to a Square Dance Smorgasbord! It's fun fun fun with a little of this and a little of that to fill your square dance plate. Great old time music by the Dead Sea Squirrels (Craig Edwards, Cathy Mason, Henry Yoshimura) and calling by Too Hot Mamas (Janine Smith and Susan Taylor). We'll have dancing, a concert, and the re-birth of Cheesecake Squares. Bring a snack to share, please, and get ready for some rip-roaring fun, silliness, and FABULOUS music!

What the heck are Cheesecake Squares? "This is a Square Dancing competition - The dances are not taught, it's a half hour of no walk through squares. Specially trained (and totally bribe-able!) judges watch carefully and when a square breaks down (or looks confused and panicked with everyone scrambling hither and yon) they are roped off the floor and eliminated until finally only the winning square remains on the floor. Then the winners (and all present) get to chow down on delicious cheesecake. It's more about confidence and recovery (with a VERY healthy dose of silliness) than actual square dancing skills and knowledge, all in all, it's a hilarious time."
