Katie McNally studied ancient and modern Scottish literature and traditional music at the University of Glasgow and the National Piping Centre in Glasgow after graduating magna cum laude from Tufts and receiving the university's Etta & Harry Winokur Award for Outstanding Contribution to Performance. She has performed with Childsplay, Eric McDonald, Long Time Courting, Galician bagpiper Carlos Núñez, She has appeared on the cover of Fiddler magazine and was described by The Living Tradition as "the new face of Scottish fiddling in the USA. ? Her new album, as described on her web site, features tunes that "draw inspiration from raw, mid-century recordings of Cape Breton fiddlers both in Nova Scotia and Massachusetts … sculpted by the creative energy of the Boston acoustic music scene. ?

Katie McNally is joined by pianist Neil Pearlman and bluegrass viola player Shauncey Ali on her CD release tour for The Boston States.

The all-women Capital Accord chorus performs four-part a cappella harmony in the barbershop style, with a repertoire that spans many musical genres. Capital Accord is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International. Once every baseball season, they perform the National Anthem at an Orioles game. You missed them at the Washington Folk Festival when their outdoor performance was rained out, so come hear them indoors!
