Nicole Singer (Special Event)

Nicole Singer (her real name!) learned her first sea chanteys and forebitters as a crew member on the schooner Mystic Whaler, the seagoing classroom operated by Pete Seeger's Clearwater Foundation . She is the founder of Youth Traditional Song Weekend, cosponsored by FSGW every January since 2013, and released her first CD, Long Hot Summer Days, last fall. She literally wrote the book on song circles, the Country Dance & Song Society's Folk Sing Starter Kit, along with Julia Friend. At Janie Meneely's. $15 suggested donation.
