Potomac River Convention (Potomac River Sacred Harp Singing Convention)
When
08 Apr 2018
10:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Location
Great Falls Grange, Great Falls, VA
Annually since 1990, this gathering attracts singers from across the country for two days of spirited, 4-part, participatory, unaccompanied singing from the classic shape-note tunebook The Sacred Harp and, since 2013, The Shenandoah Harmony. Tunebooks will be available for loan or purchase. Each day there will be a midday dinner break; local singers are asked to bring a good supply of victuals to share. There is no entrance fee, though a collection will be taken to help cover costs. Experienced singers, newcomers, and listeners are all welcome.
