Moira Craig and Carolyn Robson (Special Event)

  • 07 Oct 2014
  • 8:00 PM - 10:30 PM
  • Mount Lubentia (The Wallace's), Upper Marlboro, MD
Please join us for a wonderful evening of song by two of Britain?s foremost singers, Moira Craig and Carolyn Robson. Craig and Robson hail from Scotland and Northumberland respectively, and their repertoire reflects their roots. Moira is a former winner of the ?Sidmouth Singer of the Year? award and has long been recognized by club and festival goers for her superb interpretations of Scottish, Irish and English songs and ballads. Carolyn is a professional singer and musician specializing in traditional folk song and dance. Her extensive repertoire focusses heavily on songs from Northumberland and Scotland. She has a wealth of singing and teaching experience, and is currently leading three community choirs in Hampshire. Together, Moira and Carolyn bring a new dimension to the art of a capella singing, weaving beguiling harmonies around material from the British tradition and beyond. They were 2/3rds of the amazing Craig, Morgan Robson trio who toured Britain and America and sang together for 10 years until Sarah Morgan?s untimely death in September 2013. Their decision to continue has been welcomed by the folk community.

Suggested donation for this concert is $15. For reservations and directions, contact Andy or Sondra by email or phone 301-324-7311.
