The Great American Square Dance Revival - Part XXIV

  • 07 Dec 2013
  • 8:30 PM - 11:30 PM
  • St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Washington, DC
Friends! Our next big square dance at St. Stephens is coming right up, Saturday, December 7th. Come join hands and dance to ring in this darkest of months with the light of music and community. We'll stomp and shake and hoot and holler, and send those winter spirits howling.

We're very excited to have The Mostly Mountain Boys playing some sweet old-time tunes, including the fine fiddling of DC Square Dance co-founder Paul Brown. He'll be joined by John Schwab, Terri McMurray, and Marshall Wilborn (IBMA bass player of the year!!). And we're thrilled to welcome Phil Jamison, a much beloved and master caller from Asheville, NC.

All are welcome ? young and old, brand new and experienced dancers. No partner, lessons, overalls, or frilly dress needed.

ALSO: Phil Jamison will present a Dance Calling Class on the afternoon of Saturday, December 7th, from 3 - 5 pm at Hillyer Art Space in NW DC. To register: Email dcsquaredance@gmail.com or call Gabe at 859-619-4769. Plan to take advantage of this rare opportunity to learn from a Master, right here in DC!
