The Great American Square Dance Revival - Part XXIII

  • 09 Nov 2013
  • 8:30 PM - 11:30 PM
  • St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Washington, DC
Friends, fall is the time for celebrating all things Americana. Turkeys, pumpkins, plaid, pie, and square dancing (obvs)! We supply the banjos, you supply the plaid. Saturday, November 9th.

We're thrilled to have the amazing fiddler/balladeer/crankie-maker/folklorist Anna Roberts-Gevalt calling the dances. She'll be joined by the Old Hat Stringband from Charlottesville, playing some sweet old-time Appalachian fiddle tunes - that's Aaron Olwell, Heather Coiner, and Ben Stowe.

All are welcome ? young and old, brand new and experienced dancers. No partner, lessons, overalls, or fancy dress needed.

RSVP: on Facebook (www.dcsquaredance.com)

As always, it's just $5 for a foot-stompin' good time. Snacks and drinks to share are welcomed.

Folks from outside the neighborhood, we recommend taking the metro! St. Stephens is a short walk from the Columbia Heights station on the green/yellow line. If you must drive, there is a garage on Park Rd. at 14th St, or you may be able to find street parking.

See y'all soon,
