Gaye says:

"Dutch Crossing is an intricate 16 person dance. It takes about an hour to teach and dance, but is well worth the effort. The dance consists of standard contra dance figures. The challenge comes in the orientation issues, as the entire dance is danced 4 times: each iteration is 90 degrees off from the previous. The dance was originally written as an English Country dance. I will be teaching/calling Joseph Pimentel's Yankee version which includes a partner balance & swing. The other patterns remain basically the same as in the original dance."
