Orpheus Workshop

2021 Orpheus Workshop Series

Join us, online for now, to learn tunes, dances, and cultural expressions from local artists, musicians and performers in the new Orpheus Workshop! This instructional series of workshops aims at engaging the audience in their own homes to learn new styles with familiar instruments to develop existing skills and explore new artistic avenues. Cultural expressions covered include instrumental music, dance, song, and art. Instrumental workshops will be primarily focused on violin, guitar, and piano. Each artist will open with a brief introduction to the culture and a demonstration of the skill to be taught in the class before leading a follow-along tutorial with time for questions afterwards.
