Welcome!

We, The Folklore Society of Greater Washington (FSGW), are pleased to sponsor over 200 events a year for our members and fellow lovers of the folk arts. See Coming Events below for all events in the coming month, or use Calendar at the top of every page. Follow your interests with the links to the left.

Find Story Swaps, Sings and Singings, Dances and Concerts, as well as annual festivals, balls, and other celebrations of folk tales, music and dance. And do not miss our excellent FSGW Newsletter, as a PDF in Headlines above and available in print to FSGW members.

Free-to-members concerts are found to the left in Monthly Programs near the top. Member discounts apply to almost everything else. Take a look at Join Us! above if you're not a member yet. Your satisfaction from supporting this wonderful organization is only one of many benefits of membership.

Our style is simple, but it serves our goal: that you find what you want quickly and easily, even on mobile devices at rush hour! Of course, we invite you to explore and peruse whenever you have time. Thanks for stopping by.
